Chartered in 1967, Camelot Chapter has approximately 46 members. It is one of more than 1,500 chapters nationwide and is
one of the largest and most active ABWA chapters in the Harrisburg area.
Members of Camelot represent a wide variety of career fields, such as retail, clerical, corporate, medical and social services and
all levels of local, state and federal government.
This diversity of members provides a positive atmosphere for social and business networking opportunities. Chapter programs supply members
with valuable information and guidance for personal and career growth and enhancement.
ABWA'S mission is to encourage and provide opportunities for member education and the development of leadership skills and personal growth.
Camelot Chapter also focuses on funding college scholarships by holding fund raising events such as Spaghetti Dinners, Fashion Shows, Christmas
and Easter Candy Sales. Profits from these events have helped to provide more than $105,000 in financial help to deserving young people in the Harrisburg area.
There are many local chapters all over the United States that are a part of the ABWA National Organization that was incorporated on September 22, 1949 by
Hilary A Bufton, Jr.and three Kansas City businesswomen.
